Mold Making and Foam Latex Baking

Unfortunatly, I do not have pictures of this part of the process, although I will be taking pictures of the molds soon. I will also be sculpting again and plan to take pictures of this part of the process on the next project. This site, like my costume, is a progressive work in progress. However, please check out the resources I have listed on this page. All of them were part of this process (as well as other parts of the project).

In my earliest searches I had found a link to a place in Burbank California called Make-Up Mania. I had called them back in February of 2001 to get some general information. They were amazingly helpful in so many ways that I must give them LOTS of credit, particularly Ian and Eva.

I must also give credit to several other people but especially, Chris at Cinema Secrets for giving my friend so much of his time and for his wonderful advice and insight.

I must thank Tom Suprenaut of Last Looks Makeup. He shared so much great information with me and led me to finding Craig Lindberg, a local effects artist in my area. Since Tom actually worked as a makeup artist on the Grinch, he had especially helpful information and some fantastic stories to tell. Tom is an Emmy award winning makeup artist and I feel honored to have had the chance to talk with him.

Finally, I want to thank Craig Lindberg for teaching me the process of making the molds and doing the latex part of the project. I strongly recommend him to anyone looking for an effects artist in the New York area. You can view his resume at this link: Criag Lindberg
