The Grinch on Broadway
Our very own Cindy Lou got a chance to see "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" on Broadway in New York City. We asked her to give us her review for the website. Thanks, Cindy!

Grinch Play on Broadway
When I was very young, my Mama read me a story called How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It was about some guy who wasnt exactly a Who, and hated Christmas only to have a change in heart by a girl named Cindy Lou Who and the other Whos. We then saw the movies and the DVDs, and everything all Grinchy. After school one day, I was surprised by a friend that I was going to see the Grinch on Broadway! I was real excited. It was sort of a combination of the book and movie, but more from the book. My grandmas favorite part was when snow fell at the end. It was very good, and real funny.
The Grinch was played by the bad lion from the Lion King, and he would talk and point to the crowd. They also had the lyrics for a sing-along for Your a Mean One Mr.Grinch. The set designs of this play were very Dr. Seuss like. They had puppets for when the Grinch was listening to the noise of the singing for two scenes. When he thought of Christmas Day and when he went to dump the presents. The Whoville was very well done. It was pretty much like the book, mostly red, pink and white.
As for the costumes, I think that they were OK, but could have been done a lot better. The Grinchs shade of green was a forest green, when it should have been an olive green. The Cindy Lou Who costume was very well done, but it could have been a little more like the movie version if you ask me. Id say the best costume was the old Maxs outfit. The young Maxs outfit didnt quiet look like a dog, but didnt look like anything else, really. The Who people had very Christmas-like outfits that fit for the season. They were very Seuss like. I also like how they advertised the play out on the radio making it seem like the Grinch was really stealing things from Manhattan. It was very well dramatized.
Out of a scale of 1 -10, with 1 being the worst, and 10 the best, Id give this play a 7. Between the cartoon, the movie or the play, I think my favorite would be the cartoon. It was really funny. The movie wasnt really as funny as the cartoon, but it was more funny then the play, at least to me.
